ZARE at the Sziget Festival
Mega concerts on Day 0. of Sziget Festival, 11 August 2009
The ZARE campaign was launched officially at the Zero Day of this year's Sziget Festival on 11 August with an all-day concert under the ZARE banner. Many of Hungary's top bands played alongside a specially assembled British group made up of artists associated with the British anti-racism campaign Love Music Hate Racism.

More than 30 Hungarian and international bands showed condemnation of racism and their support for tolerance by playing under the banner of "Music Against Racism" ("Zene a Rasszizmus Ellen" - ZARE). Jazz musicians on the nearby Jazz stage also lent their support to the anti-racist pro-tolerance cause - by also playing under the ZARE banner.
Founder of the original RAR UK movement, Roger Huddle and LMHR National Leader Lee Billingham and British musician Sam Duckworth (also known as "Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly") were in Budapest on 10 and 11 June 2009 for discussions with Sziget and to meet potential Hungarian campaign leaders.
The anti-racist day was the result of collaboration between the British Embassy, UK anti-racism campaigns Rock Against Racism (RAR) and Love Music Hate Racism (LMHR), and the highly prestigious Sziget Festival.
